Happy Throwback Thursday. I nearly missed it!
Films have an interesting, and quite confusing, half-life. A few months ago, I wasn’t sure my recent film Future Perfect, for sure my largest undertaking as a filmmaker so far, was going to play anywhere. It was certainly frustrating, but I kept putting it out there. I’m glad I did.
In the past month, it has played in NYC to a great reception, and has been invited to screen at two film nights in the next several months (I can’t announce which quite yet, for a variety of reasons, owing mostly to date and being fair to these wonderful events). Also, a great number of festivals with a focus on Asian/Asian-American themes are coming up, and the film is being considered for those. I’ll be submitting to a few more in the coming weeks.
Thanks so much for your support, and keep your eyes peeled for the film.
My best.
